Post-submission advice:  checklist

After your job is completed, authors should go through the following checklist.

Always look carefully through the recommended changes and comments to: 

• check whether appropriate amendments have been made; 
• select a suitable response where a comment calls for the author(s) to make further changes;  and
• learn from the suggested corrections and the comments, to avoid the same issues in future. 

Furthermore, review the statistics presented on the number of changes (and comments) per 1000 words.  This will enable you to track your progress from one manuscript to the next, and also to compare your statistics against the average for your peers.
