Proof-reading is carried out by an experienced, native-English-speaking professional, holding a Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Engineering (with honours), and a Doctor of Philosophy, and additionally certified as a Professional Translator. 

Clients

Clients are often academics based at universities — although that is not a requirement!
